Scotland’s Creative Learning Plan is an important project that aims to impact on every sector of society in Scotland – not just the creative industries. As one of the project partners, Creative Scotland undertook the task of drawing together all the threads to date.
I worked closely with Creative Scotland’s in-house communications and design team in transforming the content provided by the partners. For example, I suggested using a mind-map style technique to show how the different projects were overlapping and helping to achieve the Plan’s outcomes. We also used colour and other techniques to engage as many different people as possible, creating a multi-layered effect from flowing detailed prose up to salient bullet points. The ultimate aim of the brochure was to influence policy, develop connections and engagement between the partners and spark further creativity.
